THE WASHINGTON POST
Multiplatform editor, Opinions | January 2018 - present
• Edit, fact-check and prepare for daily publication multiple op-eds, columns and editorials in a fast-moving, high-volume environment.
• Ensure that articles to be published online are optimized for search and have the proper enhancements such as links, videos and related content.
• Work closely with editors, columnists and op-ed writers on questions of voice, coverage, style, accuracy and fairness.
• Regularly fill in as the daily copy chief, who coordinates with other editors to ensure that columns, editorials and op-eds are prepared for publication and are published in a timely fashion. The copy chief also supervises the pagination of three daily editorial pages.
• Serve as a line editor for the Today's Opinions newsletter, working directly with the writer on tone and substance.
• At times, curate and prepare for publication the daily letters to the editor.
• Write headlines, photo captions and other display type for all opinions content, including daily print pages.
